Implementation of UAV based Integrated Secure Cooperative Communication and Adaptive Routing for IoT Networks


Abstract

The integration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a transformative solution for enhancing smart communication across various domains, particularly in healthcare applications. In this research work, an Integrated Secure Cooperative Communication and Adaptive Routing is proposed to address the research issues such as high mobility, security challenges in UAV-IoT networks. The secure cooperative communication framework consists of three different phases such as network creation, trust computation and cooperative data transmission. Adaptive routing algorithm dynamically selects the optimal path for efficient data transmission. A trust-based routing mechanism is utilized to provide the secure path selection and transmitting the data via relay nodes for efficient and reliable data delivery. The proposed algorithm is analysed using network simulator NS2.35 and the performance metrics were compared with existing protocols like the UAV-based Traffic Monitoring System (UTMS) and Unique and Secure Routing Protocol (USRP). The simulation results shows that the performance of proposed approach obtains better performance in terms of delivery ratio, residual energy, throughput and delay.
